Mission

The program trains professionals of the Pedagogy of Performing Art with a holistic vision, with a sense of research and permanent questioning about their work; to build, around the pedagogical processes in which it is involved, integral life projects in which it feels a participant in a culture and a society, and where it assumes the school, and by extension each educational scenario, as laboratories of human integration.

Vision

The Vision of the bachelor’s Program in Performing Arts is built in accordance with the institutional guidelines of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN by its acronym in Spanish), within the framework of the Institutional Development Plan: A University Committed to the Training of Teachers for a Colombia in Peace. And that is based on giving priority to ethics, autonomy, research, the integral formation of the student, belonging, identity, participation, coexistence, solidarity, and mutual respect. The Bachelor of Performing Arts of the National Pedagogical University is constituted as a project of integral training of teachers for the performing arts that, through research and teaching practice, strengthen the development processes required by a country that works together for peace.
