The program has the purpose of encouraging future graduates in Visual Arts to develop their ability to produce teaching and learning programs that the professional will offer in different contexts, not only in the formal education system, but also in non-school education. In these spaces, it is expected that the experience of visual arts will contribute to education focused on solid ethical, political and aesthetic values that form critical and proactive professionals, in addition to building a better society.

The Bachelor ‘s Degree in Visual Arts (LAV for its acronym in Spanish) focuses on training for teaching. For this reason, education is essential in the training of educators, being Pedagogy a fundamental knowledge that analyzes the processes of teachability and educability of the visual arts and visual culture.

The LAV assumes the visual arts from an expanded view of the field that amplifies the universe of the manifestations of popular culture, in contemporary artistic practices and the universe of visual culture. Furthermore, about the disciplinary emphasis on the Visual Arts, it proposes the analysis of the relationship with the plastic arts based on a necessary historical, academic and artistic discussion.
